i just listened " 2008's Buzzword Giving: Micro" .
Philanthropy consultant Lucy Bernholz talked about the trend that giving is taking big idea and making them small.

Micro: micro consignment program like in Uganda, helps women that improve their income by selling small goods that their community only can afford and needs.

word "M": means that anyone who wants to give some donation, all need is their cell phone. just send a text message, and 5$ donation will be add to the bill.

Good Gifting: is the feel-good equivalent of regifting. you can give some gift card to the charity.

And also the Amazon Wish List feature is great idea that help you donate money for donations

According to the show “Best way to donate? Do your research” this show discusses about should we give time and volunteer or donate money? The show had invited Holden Karnofsky who is the co-founder of GiveWell.net (a nonprofit charity evaluation website). Karnofsky argues that the best way to donate is to take more time to do the research and make sure that your money go to the effectually organization especially in this financial crisis situation.

Hi every body,

Today, Iam going to talk about what i listened to which was Holden Karnofsky ,the cofounder of Givewell.net. This is a nonprofit charity website. He mentiones that volunteer time instead of money would be more valuable. By that point, you will get involve and will be excited and the main purpose of that is to donate. To make it more beneficial, we should search for a good cherity to donate in because we need to know where is our money goes. Therefore, we will trust that cherity and we will be more confidence.
